In today's world of video tapes and DVDs, most of us have our very own favorite movies where we can watch them at any time. Opposite to that, we also have one or two movies that we wished we never spent good money to see.

In light all this, I have comprised a short list of my most and least favorite movies. Look at them closely and decide whether you agree with my list. Maybe some of my favorites will be the films you despise, and vice versa.

No. 1 on my list, and the only animated film, is Disney's "The Lion King." I actually own this movie and can watch it time and time again. I absolutely love this movie. It was made in such a way that I became part of the lion pride. I remember people crying in the theater when Mufasa died. I was glad because I was not the only one.

No 2. is "The Color Purple." Anybody who's anybody has seen this movie. My favorite thing about this movie is the comedy involved. We can sit around now and laugh about different parts of this movie. I guess that's what makes it such a special movie.

Coming in at No. 3 is the most recent release on my list, "Ray." We all have most likely gone out to the movies and watched this film. For those who knew of him and not of the things he did, the movie proved to be informational. Even though it was long, the material that resulted in its length was well-worth watching.

No. 4 on my list is "Love and Basketball," which stars Omar Epps and the fine Sanaa Lathan. This movie has to be the most romantic love story of our generation. And the fact that it was centered on the great sport of basketball made the movie even more appealing.

Finally, the No. 5 spot belongs to "Scarface." I bet you were wondering were it was. I saved the best for last with this one. This film holds that part of all of us that wants to be bad. Even if you were already bad, this movie made you feel like you were an angel. "The world is yours."

Seemingly, every once in a while, a few movies are released that just plain suck. I've picked the Top 5 that I really despise. Again, look at them closely and decide if you agree or disagree.

Coming in at No. 1 is "28 Days Later." This wanna-be horror flick was awful. It was literally a waste of 113 minutes. The whole blood-sucking zombie bit was locked up when "Resident Evil" came out. True enough, I did watch it during the day. But that was just so I could stay awake! This one was just too boring for words. A horror movie that I fall asleep on is just pitiful.

No. 2 on this list of horrible flicks is "House of 1000 Corpses." This film is not worth the ink used to type this sentence. And I didn't use any ink. I had doubts about the movie when I noticed that alternative rock star Rob Zombie was the writer and director. Those doubts proved true. The story line was awful and so was the plot. The whole thing was just awful.

No. 3 is "Underworld." This one may have been alright, but I just hate movies that take place during the night. No day scenes, just darkness. Just because of that, I did not want to watch the whole thing.

Next up is "Dream Catcher" at No. 4. I was really into this one for the first 15-20 minutes. And then it just got stupid. Some wires got crossed or something because this one went from sugar to stink, fast.

The No. 5 most horrible movie on my list is "Held Up." I hate to place this one on the list, but I gotta do what I gotta do. I thought the flick was going to be good, but I guess there is not much to do at a convenience store. The writers just ran out of material. And you can never do that with a comedy. I don't blame Jamie Foxx, I blame his agent.
