Former U.S. Ambassador and chief executive officer of National Public Radio, Delano Lewis visited Jackson State University this week and encouraged students to be diverse in their learning. "Really be good at what you do. Do your best while you are here and get as much out of this place as you can," the Kansas native said to a class of mass communications students.

When the day was done and the ballots tallied, the Democratic Party had regained control of the country's legislative branch of government. Imagine being a student like Cierra Robinson, a junior mass communications major, who goes to the ATM to get some money for the weekend. She knows there should be money in the account that her mother set up for college expenses, but the machine receipt reads insufficent funds.
